About Our Founder
Hey there, I'm Akala, an Oregon native with a lifelong love for health and a journey that led me to craft something truly special – ESOG Botanical Lemonades.
For over 17 years, I've called the US Veterans hospital my second home, dedicating most of my time to the surgical department. It was during those years that something extraordinary unfolded. Colleagues, physicians, and nursing staff started asking me to bring in my homemade beverages whenever they needed a pick-me-up or a refreshing break.
At the heart of it were my herbal teas, a concoction of fresh herbs and lemons that I'd bring in and brew into small batches for my fellow team members. The idea to share these revitalizing drinks on a larger scale sparked when one of my colleagues suggested bottling them for everyone to enjoy.
Around this time, a medical condition emerged that restricted me from savoring certain foods and drinks. This compelled me to take a closer look at my lifestyle and make significant changes.
